Overview

Cinecraft ("we", "us", "our") builds sports streaming and media workflow tools. We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about the data we collect and how we use it.

Data We Collect

Our products may collect the following types of data depending on which features you use:

  • Account information — If you sign in through a third-party service (e.g., Facebook, YouTube), we receive basic profile information such as your name, email address, and profile picture as provided by that service.
  • Streaming credentials — Stream keys and platform tokens needed to broadcast on your behalf. These are stored locally on your device. To sign in to Facebook or Twitch, our server (hosted by Supabase, Inc., our backend provider) briefly handles the sign-in token to exchange, renew or revoke it; it never stores it.
  • Usage analytics — Anonymous, aggregated usage data to help us improve our products. This does not include personal information or content you stream.
  • Purchase information — If you purchase a product through Stripe, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or payment details.

How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and operate our products and services
  • To authenticate your access to third-party streaming platforms
  • To process purchases and deliver products
  • To improve our products based on aggregated usage patterns
  • To respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Third-Party Services

Our products integrate with third-party platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, and Stripe. When you connect these services, their respective privacy policies apply to the data they collect. We encourage you to review their policies:

YouTube API Services

CineSportCam uses YouTube API Services. When you connect a YouTube account, the app uses them to create and run YouTube Live broadcasts on your channel.

By using CineSportCam's YouTube features you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). Google's use of your information is described in the Google Privacy Policy (http://www.google.com/policies/privacy).

What CineSportCam accesses

To connect YouTube you sign in with Google, and the app asks for access to your YouTube account plus your basic profile and email address. With that access, CineSportCam reads:

  • your Google account name, email address and profile picture, which the app shows as "Signed in as";
  • your scheduled YouTube live broadcasts (title, description, scheduled time and privacy setting) and your playlists, which it reads only to let you add a broadcast to one;
  • the stream key and ingestion address of the live stream the app sets up for your broadcast;
  • the broadcast's live status and stream health, and its concurrent viewer count while it is live.

How CineSportCam uses it

CineSportCam acts on your channel only when you ask it to. When you set up a broadcast, the app creates a live broadcast and a live stream on your channel, links them, sets the broadcast's category to Sports and, if you pick a playlist, adds the broadcast to it. It ends the broadcast when you stop streaming. It deletes a broadcast it created if setup fails partway, or when you ask it to delete one.

The app sends your video to YouTube using the stream key and ingestion address, and uses the live status and stream health to show you how the stream is doing. The viewer count is shown in the app while you are live and on the end-of-game recap card.

Where it is kept

  • Your Google sign-in tokens and the stream key are stored only on your iPhone, in the iOS Keychain.
  • While a stream is running, the broadcast's details and ingestion address are kept on your iPhone so the app can reconnect after a crash. They are deleted when the stream ends.
  • The end-of-game recap card may keep the YouTube viewer count and watch link on your iPhone for up to 30 days.
  • Your profile, broadcast list and playlist list are held in the app's memory only.

None of your YouTube tokens, stream keys, email address or channel information are sent to or stored on Cinecraft servers.

Sharing

If you run a remote scoring session, the app sends your broadcast's YouTube watch link and its current live viewer count to the scoring web page so the people scoring with you can see them. They travel through Supabase Realtime, the real-time messaging service of Supabase, Inc., our backend provider, and Cinecraft does not store them. The scoring session also records which platform you stream to (for example, "YouTube"). We don't sell YouTube data or share it with anyone else.

Storage on your device and cookies

The app stores the items listed above on your iPhone, in the iOS Keychain and the app's preferences. Google sign-in happens in a secure system browser window, where Google may set its own cookies. The CineSportCam app itself does not use cookies, and it does not show ads or let third parties serve content in the app.

Disconnecting YouTube

You can disconnect YouTube at any time in the app: go to Settings → Streaming → YouTube → Disconnect YouTube, or Go live → Stream → YouTube → Sign Out of YouTube. Disconnecting revokes CineSportCam's access at Google and deletes the YouTube data stored on your iPhone.

You can also remove CineSportCam's access from your Google Account on the Google security settings page (https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions). The app then deletes the YouTube data it holds the next time it finds its access revoked, and in any case within 30 days. Deleting the app and reinstalling it starts with YouTube disconnected.

If you have questions or concerns about how CineSportCam handles your YouTube data, contact us at privacy@cinecraft.io or visit our contact page.

Facebook Data Deletion Instructions

If you signed in to any Cinecraft product using Facebook Login, you can request deletion of the data we received from Facebook. Here's how:

  1. Remove Cinecraft from your Facebook settings — Go to your Facebook Apps and Websites settings, find Cinecraft, and remove it. This revokes our access to your Facebook data.
  2. Email us to confirm deletion — Send an email to privacy@cinecraft.io with the subject line "Facebook Data Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your Facebook account.
  3. Confirmation — We will process your request within 30 days and send you a confirmation email once your data has been deleted.

The data we may have received from Facebook includes your name, email address, and profile picture. Stream keys and platform tokens are stored locally on your device and are not retained by Cinecraft servers. Facebook's data-deletion requests are received by the same Supabase-hosted server, which stores nothing.

Data Retention

We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide our services or as required by law. If you request data deletion, we will remove your personal information within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Our products are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
