Scoring a Football Game with Down and Distance
How to run the American Football scoreboard in CineSportCam 2.0: quarters, possession, down and distance, the game clock, timeouts, and overtime.
American Football is new in CineSportCam 2.0, and it is the most involved scoreboard in the app. Here is how to run it without missing a play.

Running the game

Select American Football
In Scoring mode, tap the Sport button and choose American Football. Choose Standard or Advanced. You can switch mid-game without leaving the screen.

Set possession
The possession control sits next to the quarter, on your phone and on the remote scorer. Tap it when the ball changes hands.

Update down and distance
Tap the down after each play and adjust the distance. A first down resets it. This is the part the scorer will thank you for handing them.

Score, with the right points
Touchdown, field goal, safety, one-point and two-point conversions all have their own buttons, so the total is always right and the broadcast never shows a typo.

Manage the clock and timeouts
On Advanced, start and stop the game clock from the scoring screen and tap a timeout to take one off the board. When regulation ends tied, step into overtime and the broadcast reads OT 1.

Sports with a game clock
Football joins basketball, soccer, ice hockey, and lacrosse as the clock sports. All five show overtime the same way, on the broadcast, your phone, and the remote scorer.
- Auto sets. Scores reset and the next set or game starts on its own.
- Auto outs and innings. Three outs flip the half-inning. Balls and strikes reset for you.
- Game clock. A running game clock with overtime that reads OT 1, OT 2 everywhere.
- Rally or side-out. Pick the scoring style your league uses, with a Side Out button on the scoring screen.
- Down and distance. Down, distance, and possession on the scoreboard, from the scoring screen or the remote scorer.
- Compact layout. A second, smaller scoreboard layout you can switch to mid-game.
- Advanced. Fouls, timeouts, and configurable periods. Part of CineSportCam Pro.
