Table tennis scoreboard guide
Every CineSportCam table tennis board, the Table Tennis Rules settings for best of 3, 5 or 7, the automatic serve rotation, and what viewers see at match point.
For anyone streaming table tennis, from club leagues to school tournaments. The app tracks the games and rotates the serve for you, so you only tap +1 for whoever wins the point. New to the scoreboard? Start with How to set up your scoreboard.
Pick your board
Table tennis has 10 boards on 6 cards in the picker: four looks along the top or bottom (each with Standard and Advanced) and two Vertical sizes for a corner. There’s no Compact board. The boards say GAME.

| Board | Free or Pro | What viewers see |
|---|---|---|
| Classic · Standard | Free | Player names, scores, the game number, the games won and the serve. You tap Next Game when a game is won. |
| Broadcast, Studio or Slim · Standard | Pro | The same, in that look and in your colors. You tap Next Game. |
| Advanced, in any look | Pro | Adds up to 6 past game scores, enough for a best of 7, and a GAME POINT or MATCH POINT tab. The next game starts by itself. |
| Vertical and Vertical Large | Pro | A row per player with games won, the score, past games and the point tab. The next game starts by itself. |
Set the rules
Open Settings → Display → Table Tennis Rules while table tennis is selected.
- Match Format: Best of 3, Best of 5 (the default) or Best of 7.
- Auto Advance Game - Delay: 5 seconds (the default), 10 seconds, 0 (immediate) or Manual (operator advances). It only appears when your board starts the next game by itself.
The app follows the table tennis rules for you:
- Games go to 11 and you have to win by 2, with no cap.
- The serve changes every 2 points, and after every point from 10–10. A −1 rotates it back.
- The player who lost a game serves first in the next one.
Score a game

- +1 and −1 for each player.
- A box for each game needed to win, filled in as games are won, with Games: N − and + to correct the count.
- GAME with − and + changes the game number only. It doesn’t clear the points.
- Serve, in the action bar, is only for corrections: the rotation is automatic.
When a game is won, the screen says GAME COMPLETE. Tap Next Game on Standard boards, or let the countdown run on Advanced and Vertical boards.
What viewers see
A best-of-7 match, game 6: OKAFOR leads BRANDT 10–8 and leads the match 3 games to 2. The first five games went 11–7, 9–11, 12–10, 8–11 and 11–6.
- Match point. One more point wins OKAFOR the match, so the Advanced and Vertical boards raise a MATCH POINT tab.
- Deuce. If BRANDT wins the next two points, it’s 10–10. From there the serve changes after every point, and the game goes on until someone leads by 2.
- The match is won. The winning point ends the match straight away, and the final score stays on the board.
Remote scoring
A scorer at the table can run the match from their phone’s browser: the score buttons, the serve, the game buttons, the point banner, Next Game or the countdown, and the winner at the end. See the remote scoring guide to start a session.
Tips
- Don’t tap Serve after each point. The rotation is automatic, including the every-point rotation from 10–10.
- Best of 7? The Advanced board has room for all six past games.
